Creative Play&Learning MiniCourse

For families who want to support their child to gain 21-centrury skills without spending a fortune on fancy
materials

In this Minicourse I am showing you how to bring more creative play and learning into your house only using what you have locally available.

Do you wish for your child to be happy, creative and full of ideas? Would you like to spend more quality time together away from screens, but you sometimes feel overwhelmed and need ideas that are quick and simple?

In this Course you will learn:

  • How creative play and learning fosters essential 21st century skills.
  • How you can inspire your child to try out new activities without running away after 2 min.
  • How you can use recycled and natural materials to create amazing playful learning opportunities at home.
  • How to foster concentration and focus through playful learning.

This course is specifically designed for parents who live in places where craft materials and toys are not necessarily available. All activities include variations to fit the intersts of toddlers and pre-schoolers.

After the course, you will have a whole set of tips and activities that foster playful learning and that do not require much preparation and materials

How does the course work?

You get every evening over 3 days an email from me with background information and ideas on how to create playful learning activities at home with less stress and more fun.

In a short video message, I am explaining you step-by-step how you can easily cultivate play and creativity at home with a set of activities that can be done in no time.

In addition you get an activity sheet detailing the different steps of the proposed activity and how you can present the activity in a way that motivates your child to participate. All activities have a number of variations for different interests and ages.

Who is behind this course?

I am a mother of two active children, who love to play and be creative. We have lived for over ten years in Benin and Ethiopia and quickly realised that conventional toys and arts and crafts materials are rarely available. With my children, I started inventing all kinds of games and crafts using materials we can recycle and find around our home. This has saved us during COVID19 lockdowns.

As an education and development consultant, I love using Montessori and Reggio inspirations to make learning more fun and effective in low-resource contexts. I am happy to share my ideas, tips and learnings with you so that you and your children create those happy memories of playing and learning together.
