Montessori Play-Based Learning
Screen-free and without pressure

Hey, I am Maria
As expert for Montessori play-based learning, my mission is for all children to gain essential 21st century skills and to grow up to become global citizens.
Without pressure but through meaningful play.
Trainings and Workshops
Wherever you are living, you can easily bring more meaningful and scree-free play into your home. Promised.

Montessori Nanny Training
We believe that a well-trained nanny can make all the difference in the education and development of your child.
In our Montessori Nanny Training Academy, we train nannies and au pairs all over the world to embrace Montessori-inspired play-based learning and positive education techniques so that your child is supported in its development and learning journey even if you are not at home.
Multilingual Play
You are a multilingual family and wondering how to best support your child´s language development? You are looking for playful ways for your child to naturally become confident in multiple languages?
Then you are right here! I am showing you how to support your child’s language development with Montessori play-based activities without pressure and more family quality time.

Teacher Training
Bring play-based learning into your classroom and community. We train early educators and primary teachers to use Montessori and play-based approaches in their classroom.
Our Play-Based Teaching Bootcamp makes play-based learning accessible in low-resource contexts. Based on local materials we transform learning environments to become more playful and child-centred.

Words Of Thanks

I love creating simple Montessori play-ideas out of ´nothing´.
Learning with ease and fun and growing up with multiple languages does not have to be hard work.
As a mother of 3 kids and a Montessori certified early years educator, I am supporting families all around the world to raise happy learners and curious minds.
Having lived as a family over fifteen years in Africa and Asia I know exactly how challenging it can be to get access to high quality educational activities.

You do not need much to make learning fun away from screens.
… and to spend memorable moments together discovering the world. As a busy mom of three, I love simple, easy-to-do activities.
With my step-by-step play-based learning method, I am showing you how you can support your child’s love for learning and how we use play for a tri-lingual education only using recycled and natural materials we have around our home.
If we can do it with limited time and resources, you can easily do it, too.

The story behind Abracadabra Creative Learning
The idea for Abracadabra Creative Learning was born in a small village near Lalibela in Northern Ethiopia in 2019. Many children in developing countries lack access to school and often only spend a couple of years in primary school. Learning basic language and numeracy skills therefore needs to be even more effective than in regular Western schools.
The aim of Abracadabra Creative Learning therefore is to make Montessori play-based learning methods available where they are most needed.
This is why we train pro-bono teachers and educators in the Global South how to use play and local materials to prepare children for school and to teach foundational math and literacy in a playful way.
All of Abracadabra Creative Learning’s benefits are invested to increase our impact, where it is most needed.
